in Life AWARENESS Rss

Saying…

Eli Mercado, Post-Sales Engineer, Integrated Data Storage

Where to start… I could write on and on about the different ways Cathy has assisted me in my search to become more aware of myself, my actions and the consequences I/they cause. Just most recently I was struggling to see the how my actions – being tired all the time – had affected my daily life and relationship with my wife and children. I am a person who does not communicate much with words and no matter how hard the situation is I would just plow thru it without any complaints, or so I thought. My wife is very vocal about every aspect of our life and she will let me know how she feels in every situation. When I told Cathy about this scenario on our coaching call she kept pressing me to think why that is happening that my wife can and is expressing her feelings and I just keep plowing thru. We were on the phone for an hour and Cathy kept pressing me to think why this situation is persisting in my life. She could sense that there was something I was struggling to see or realize but Cathy stayed in the corner and offered support without reserve. And as we were just about to conclude the coaching session I had a breakthrough. I connected that I was complaining all along without saying a word, that my being tired was my way of complaining and stating it without saying a word. The realization was so fulfilling and empowering; it felt as if a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I was so happy that I had to share it with my wife as soon as I concluded the call with Cathy.

Cathy is respectful in her approach, supportive and patient. She has allowed me to grow on my terms and come to the realization on my own. The power in her approach and vulnerability is that she is genuine and draws one in without the feel of any pressure. She has allowed me to blossom, open up like a flower and share myself on my own terms. The beauty is that I made the realization on my own as opposed to being told. I feel very fortunate to have met Cathy and I will support her in her vision. I truly believe that she is following her calling and for those that have the pleasure of letting Cathy in will experience true joy.

Cathy has been coaching me since February 2009. She has been a driving force of my serenity and sense of freedom. Cathy listens clearly, clean of agenda and beliefs. She has supported me with reaching and obtaining personal and professional goals.  She is able to lend perspective in a manner that allows me to grasp and understand, even if I am not “ready” to.

I appreciate Cathy for her strength to challenge me when I am not living my full potential. As well as being showing her strength through vulnerability and humbleness. I experience pure gratitude being in her space.

I worked with Cathy to help discover my past, and how events that in the past were showing up and holding me back in the present.  Through journaling/excercises with Cathy, I was able to come to terms with my past (which is something that haunted me for years), but more importantly, figure out what I was going to do (in the present, and future) to improve my life.
Cathy helped me be a more confident person-both personally and professionally.  I was able to notice things internally that I hadn’t noticed before, learn and grow from them.  Cathy is a tremendous coach, someone whom is a great resource, and listener, for those wanting to improve their lives.

Thank you so much for your help yesterday.  The results are amazing…I called my wife last night after talking with you and she was immediately calmed by my supportive energy.  I talked to my managers last night about staying home this morning to be supportive for my wife and they were all in agreement.  When I came home and told my wife I wanted to stay home and help her she didn’t know what to do or say…so she smiled.  It made my day and I am so grateful and appreciative for you taking the time to get me grounded and help me identify the mixed signals I was creating.  I am now creating my vision!  The very first thought I had when I woke up this morning: I am supportive and compassionate…we’re off to a great start!
